So this week is the last week before the deadline for the Ebon Spire Character contest, and I am plugging along with my entry so I thought I would post a frame for you all to see instead of my usual Dog House fair, after this round things should get back to normal.

Here we see Decon the android, this is a panel from my first round entry part 1, I chose to use this one because wile I thought the inking wasnt the best, and the facial expression was hard to capture, I loved the lighting effects and the body language. Hope you enjoy!

So, before I started my hand at my entry for the Ebon Spire contest I wanted to give everyone a little update on what happened to Decon after Nautilus, (first off he shaved! wow huh?) Besides being a great prelude to the coming entry comic for the contest, it was also a great help for me to get back into drawing human form. Cartoons are great but you can get used to having characters not bound by physics or form. So I hope you enjoy this! if I can get to finishing the other part I MAY do a 3rd update this week!

The crew of the Manta struggle to understand the strange alien “Navigator” Arriana. Though their understanding may take a back seat to their need to escape, Star Force is closing in and it seems only the strange ancient ship can help them, if it works correctly!

Nautilus: This 2002 original Sci Fi web series, “Nautilus,” was created by Dogtoon Media, based on the stories by Douglas E. Cowell. It’s a live action and computer animation combination show following the story of a salvage crew whom make the biggest discovery of their lives. Nautilus uses visuals unseen on a low budget series, and storytelling combining new age myths and futuristic science!

The entire Manta crew reunite on the new alien ship, but the happy reunion is short lived as tempers flare and the crew gets the feeling that Decon may be too wrapped up in his new friend. The crew meet for a big decision: should they stay with Arriana, or should they take their chances with the fast approaching Chrono Star?
