At a young age, Doug began his love affair with all things geek by consuming comic books, sci-fi series, and cartoons (and wasting brain space to store this wealth of random nerd knowledge). After graduating from The New England Institute of Art he founded Dogtoon Media, a production company specializing in digital media, independent film and music videos. Doug is the brains and the heart behind all of Dogtoon’s projects, and will for-go sleep in order to write, film, edit, draw, upload etc… basically, he’s a robot operating on coffee and Prismacolor fumes. A published cartoonist at age 15, Doug has never lost his love for character-based comics and cartoons and subsequently created a weekly strip called “The Dog House.” The autobiographical comic strip follows Doug the Dog (Doug’s alter ego) through his daily business, like getting struck by lightning and going to the beach. Doug has also written and produced two sci-fi web series, two short films, a handful of music videos, and countless other projects that can all be found on this website. Recently, he has befriended a group of steampunk hooligans called The Penny Dreadfuls, and is working with them on a project called “The Dreadful Affairs.” The partnership between The Dreadfuls and Dogtoon should lead to some interesting tom-foolery, so lock up your daughters and check back often for updates!
